Pending Comicon, the Imago 2020 competition starts on the web to reward the best drawings and comics with the Social Awards!
As happened for all the other big events that foresee the presence of thousands of people, also the Comicon of Naples was postponed until a later date due to the Coronavirus emergency, but the Imago competition, one of the most appreciated of the event, has decided to start his online business.
In fact, while waiting for the situation to return to normal, Imago, as Comics and Graphics Competition kicked off, online, its edition dedicated to "(Re) traits of Music". We immediately remember that i professionals cannot participate (those who do it for work and receive a payment for their works). Moreover, Copies of other people's works or works of plagiarism are not allowed.
The aim is always to invite fans of drawing and comics to send their creations, following the theme of this 22nd edition. It is also a way to stimulate the imagination and have a chance to be distracted during this isolation.
Pending the "physical" event, these drawings will compete i press Social Award on the Facebook page. We specify that for the time being, the paper drawings must not be sent, but the photos taken at the same or scanned.
The theme: (Re) traits of Music
As mentioned, the theme of this edition it's about music. You as you would represent it? Music, with all its notes capable of creating infinite melodies, has always been loved and created by human beings and is the soundtrack to our life.
When we are cheerful, sad, angry, in love we always have a melody that accompanies us and that perfectly describes our state of mind.
With your drawings, graphics or comics, therefore, "try to make your illustration sound and to represent the emotions that the music arouses, or how it affects your memories and your lives even in small things; or, tell us about the idols you are attached to".
The Social Award prizes
As long as the lockdown situation lasts, the photos / scans of the drawings will be published on the Comicon Facebook page and the most voted, with more like, will receive the virtual Social Award.
All photos of the designs that respect the rules will be published and will compete for the Social Award, but only some will be selected for the "classic competition" and will be exhibited during the Comicon. The selected participants will be contacted by phone or email.
Imago competition: how to participate
The sending of the photos and scans will have to be done by email to imago@comicon.it or via private message to the Facebook Pages of Comicon e Imago. It is important to indicate your personal data by filling in the application form present in the call.
The contest has already started and both the photos and the paper drawings must be received between 1 and 13 June 2020, while photos of the drawings can be sent from today until 13 June. In any case, we recommend sending them before the deadline in order to have time to receive the vote on Facebook.
As per announcement, the drawing must be made on sheet A3, but we specify that, given the moment of difficulty, it can also be drawn on a smaller sheet. The important thing is that it must then be applied on a black card a couple of centimeters larger on each side.
