On the Amalfi Coast the Geo Archeo Trekking was born between archaeological sites and lemon groves
The Geo Archeo Trekking arrives in the wonderful Amalfi Coast: a special path between nature and archaeological finds!
The Association Archeoclub of Italy is thinking of organizing, in the wonderful Amalfi Coast, Geo Archaeological Trekking. It is a special route suitable for those who love to immerse themselves completely in the and gentle cosmetics but also for those who love archeology and geology.
The Amalfi Coast will then turn into a real open-air museum. In fact, by participating in the Geo Archeo Trekking you will be able to discover not only the scenic beauty of this wonderful place but you will be able to discover and admire pieces of history and archeology firsthand.
Geo Archeo Trekking on the Amalfi Coast
The Geo Archeo Trekking on the Amalfi Coast will allow you to travel the path of the Lemons, or the ancient road traveled in Roman times from Maiori to Minori which in about 3 km combines different cultures, eras and styles, and also enters ancient lemon groves.
You can admire the Collagiata of Maiori, formerly a small church dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel and which was then transformed, following the discovery of a wooden statue in the sea, into Basilica dedicated to S. Maria a Mare and then again you can admire the irrigation canal built by the Romans. The path will end at Roman Villa of Minori dating back to the XNUMXst century AD
More information will be given later when the project is more outlined.
