At the Agnano Racecourse, a course for homemade beer

All the secrets of homemade beer with the course organized at the Agnano di Napoli Hippodrome!

From the 21 28 May 2017 at the Park ofRacecourse of Agnano the first edition of theHome Brewing - Learn to make beer at home with the "all grain" method.

An interesting theoretical and practical course for learn how to make good beer at home with the method, also called "ag", that is, using only raw materials with grains and hops.

Il master brewer and professional taster Christian Montanaro will teach us the various processes and stages of production, from the choice of ingredients to bottling. It starts from grinding and arrives at saccharification, subjecting the product to the iodine test.

From this point we move on to the filtration of the must, to the boiling and hopping, up to the cooling of the must in the yeast inoculation which ends with the bottling and assembly of a hobby plant.

Program of the course days

  • From 9.30 to 13.00: choice of ingredients, techniques and mills, saccharification, iodine testing
  • At 13.00: pizza
  • From 14.30 to 18.00: boiling, hopping, cooling of must to yeast inoculation, bottling and assembling of a hobbyist plant
