James Senese & Napoli Centrale in concert at the Arenile Reload in Naples

James Senese & Napoli Centrale will perform at Arenile Reload offering their typical sound that mixes Neapolitan tradition and international music

A concert not to be missed will be held on the Arenile Reload stage on November 30th. The legendary and timeless James Senese & Napoli Centrale will be playing for the “ Noi Are ” concert series.

They will propose the musical project "Song“, Which blends the notes of the Neapolitan tradition with international music. A fusion that has always enriched our sounds, paying them homage at the same time.
“Song” is, then, a word with a double meaning: in Neapolitan it means “I am” and thus wants to underline our origins. Song, however, is also the English word for "song" and the union of these two meanings best represents what James Senese wants to convey to us.

Napoli Centrale has always been a perfect blend of so many incredible genres: rock, jazz, progressive , and Neapolitan folk music; a mix that has created that hard-hitting yet enjoyable sound that so many of us have loved and continue to love.

On the other hand, this result stems from those who have always been James Senese's idols. From the inevitable Miles Davis to John Coltrane and the Weather Report, to which must be added the sounds of our Neapolitan style.
But his words are enough to fully understand the feelings that flower from the music he creates with Central Naples:

"I was born black and I was born in Milan. I play tenor and soprano saxophone, halfway between Naples and the Bronx. I study Coltrane from morning till night. I'm in love with Miles Davis and Weather Report, and I've always created instinctively, trying to find my own personal language, never copying anyone. My saxophone bears the scars of life's joys and pains ."
