At the Domus Ars of the ancient center of Naples the traditional Cantata dei Pastori will be represented in concert form.
From the 25 29 December 2017 also in Domus Ars of the historical center of Napoli the traditional will be staged Cantata dei Pastori, in the form of Christmas concert.
The music is those of the great artist Carlo Faiello, which also takes care of the whole performance, and the actors and singers on stage will repropose the classic narration whose protagonists are Mary and Joseph during their journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. The couple will have to face a series of obstacles before reaching their destination and during their journey they will meet all of them typical characters of the Neapolitan nativity scene, among shepherds, fishermen, artisans, traders and many others.
They will be hampered by the bad Belphegor and protected by the Archangel Gabriel with his divine sword, but they will also meet the figures of Razzullo, Neapolitan scribe hired for the census, and sarchiapone.
The Cantata dei Pastori in concert form is a Christmas success that has been going on for several years and is made possible by the work and dedication of theAssociation The Song of Virgil that from the 2001, with the artistic director Carlo Faiello, takes care of the promotion of many activities and shows, especially related to the Neapolitan tradition, which leads around not only in Italy, but in many foreign countries.
