The Canale 5 television schedule is enriched with a new appointment not to be missed. “The promise", a series coming from Spain which is already involving a large audience, begins its adventure in Italy Monday May 29, immediately after “Terra amara”, starting from 14.45.
The plots of the first episode promise twists from the beginning: we find ourselves immersed in the story of Jana, a young woman determined to shed light on the mysterious death of her mother.

Jana he seeks the truth about his mother's death and is one step away from his goal thanks to his friendship with the Marquis Tomas, but his path will be hindered by the perfidious Cruz, ready to do anything to achieve her goals.

The plot of the first episode: the escape of Dolores
The plot of the inaugural episode of "The Promise" opens with the tragic escape of Dolores, a maid, and her children, persecuted by some men on horseback. Dolores will not be able to escape her fate and will be killed, while one of her children will be kidnapped. The other daughter, Mariana, will manage to escape death instead pretending to be dead.
This will be just the beginning: the story will take a fifteen-year time jump, rediscovering Mariana that, now called Jana, and is determined to uncover the truth and find justice.
Manuel's plane crash
The action then moves to "The Promise", the majestic palace of the Marquis Lujan, where Jana is convinced she will find the answers she seeks. Here, the marquises they celebrate Tomas' wedding, the heir to the family.
But the party is interrupted by a tragic accident: Manuel, the second son of Don Alonso, gets involved in a plane crash. Fortunately, Jana will be there to save him, and will refuse an offer of money from the Marquises, preferring to work as a waitress.
Jana in search of the Truth
In the palace of the marquises, Jana will start working as a waitress and will bond with Tomas, who proves himself a precious ally. Tomas knows the truth Jana has been searching for for so long, but before she can reveal it, a dramatic event will change the course of history: Tomas will be murdered. Cruz, the evil stepmother, is responsible for this murder, giving an unexpected turn of events.
