Netflix and Shondaland have unveiled the trailer, poster and new images for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, the prequel of the homonymous series "Bridgerton" which has met with enormous success, like all Shondaland productions.
In this miniseries, dedicated to the accession to power of Queen Charlotte, we will see how the marriage between the young sovereign and King George represented not only a great love story, but also a social change, leading to the rise of English high society where the Bridgerton characters live.
The plot and synopsis of Queen Charlotte
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story said the love story between the young Queen Charlotte and King George, a marriage that changed the course of England's social history.
This miniseries is a prequel to the Bridgerton series and it is, precisely, dedicated to the figure of Queen Carlotta, narrating her rise to power. We will see how the marriage between the queen and the king led to the birth of the English bourgeois nobility (high society) and how it influenced the lives of the characters we have come to know in Bridgerton.
The cast
The cast of the miniseries is made up of actors already known to Bridgerton fans and new faces.
Golda rosheuvel will reprise the role of Queen Charlotte, while Adjoa Andoh will play Lady Danbury and Ruth Gemmell Lady Violet Bridgerton.
In the role of young Queen Charlotte we will see India Amarteifio, while Michelle Fairley will be Princess Augusta and Corey Mylchreest the young King George. Sam Clemmett will play young Brimsley, Freddie Dennis will play Reynolds and Richard Cunningham Lord Bute.
Also starring Tunji Kasim as Adolphus, Rob Maloney the royal physician, Cyril Nri Lord Danbury and Hugh Sachs Brimsley as an elderly man.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is produced by Shondaland, for Netflix, the production house of Shonda Rhimes, creator of many hits from Grey's anatomy a The rules of the perfect crime.
The series was in fact conceived by the showrunner, executive producer and screenwriter Shonda Rhimes, who collaborated with Tom Verica, director and executive producer and Betsy Beers, executive producer.
