The ecological islands of Naples: where to find them, timetables and what to differentiate

With the advancement of door-to-door differentiation, the need to rely on the ASIA ecological islands increases more and more.
It may seem a bit complicated if you have no experience, but actually going to an ecological island to dispose of the waste is very easy, but be careful: you can't bring everything!
What you need to know before going to an ecological island
An erroneous but very common idea is to believe that any waste can be brought to the ecological island, including unsorted and wet waste.
This is not the case, indeed every ecological island it can accommodate different types of waste based on parameters determined by the administration. Don't worry, you will find a handy table below.
Here are the recommendations on products and materials:
- NO ASBESTOS. It is absolutely forbidden to bring materials containing asbestos as they must be differentiated in a completely different way and safety by special companies
- NO PLASTER. It is absolutely forbidden as it must be disposed of separately
- NO BITUMEN
- NO COMPANIES: ecological islands are for citizens only
- NO WET, excluding vegetable oils
- NO UNDIFFERENTIATED, that must be disposed of with the ordinary door to door or with the bins where available
- Electronic devices and electrical equipment must be undamaged, not disassembled
These are the instructions on how to operate on the site:
- Bring a identification document bearing the address of Naples or a certificate of residence near the city of Naples
- In the case of non-resident, the delegation of the resident in Naples is required, obviously the waste must be from the delegator
- Be recognized by the staff, don't be ashamed
- If you are not practical ask staff for assistance on where to dispose of the products correctly, they will show you containers, presses and bins where you can leave the materials
- Don't ask the staff to help you download, i absolutely forbidden as they could injure themselves with materials unknown to them
Where are the ecological islands of Naples?
On the Neapolitan territory there are two types of ecological islands: with fixed headquarters, or structures in fenced and stable areas, with tanks and containers for separate collection, and mobile (or itinerant) ones, often these are vans equipped for a specific type of material or product to be recycled.
