New Teatro Sanità, on stage the show The girls of Naples are losing control
At the New Theater Sanità a theatrical performance is staged, prepared by young people between 13 and 18 years in just seven days and which involves the active participation of the public.
Sunday January 27 2019 will be held at the New Health Theater, The girls are losing control. The company fears them. The end is blue, a theatrical work conceived and directed by director Eleonora Pippo and inspired by the homonymous teen drama in comics by Ratigher, winner of the prestigious Micheluzzi Award as Best Comic at Naples COMICON 2015.
The show deals with youth issues like the search for one's own identity, the unconsciousness, the investigation of one's own body, the loss of control, the challenge to oneself and the world around them.
A theatrical performance that involves the very young under 18 of the Sanità district
The girls are losing control is part of an interesting one project aimed at involving young girls from the Healthcare area, aged between 13 and 18 years, in the creation of an original performance to be prepared in just seven days. It is a unique and unpredictable representation, which it only goes on for a day and which also includes the active participation of the public who is involved and guided by the girls during the staging.
The common thread is the story of Ratigher's graphic novel, which tells of the friendship of Motta and Castracani, two middle school girls with a common passion for medical analysis. But the performance is also enriched by the experience of the girls on stage, through short interviews, live songs chosen by the girls themselves and letters addressed to a self of the future. In a personal comparison of adolescent contents and feelings that reveal the resources of the Post-Millennial Girls.
About de The girls are losing control, the director of the performance Eleonora Pippo states: «The girls who take part in this project take on a great responsibility, they challenge themselves by facing and telling absolute and eternal themes such as identifying oneself and death ... in just seven days! The show is right there, accepting the challenge and exposing imperfection. This is the true meaning of the title ... The loss of control we are talking about ».
The artistic installation "La fine azzurra"
The staging also includes an artistic installation made by the same director Eleonora Pippo, from the title "The blue end". It is an inflatable sculpture depicting the mammoth cartoon girl-blue cartoon, accompanied by a sound cameo from the Pop X musical group, in which Davide Panizza and Niccolò Di Gregorio interpret the two 13-year-old protagonists.
