The EAZA "Let it grow" campaign to raise awareness of local species arrives at the Naples Zoo with guided tours!
In weekend of 20 and 21 May 2017 there will be a very interesting event at Naples Zoo who decided to join the EAZA campaign (European Aassociation ZooS and Acquaria) "Let it grow". During the weekend, for this initiative, there will be educational insights on various indigenous species hosted in the structure, chosen because of particular interest.
The Let it grow campaign, in fact, deals with the awareness and knowledge of native species, that is, those that live and belong to a specific territory, establishing a precise balance with the local environment and the specific ecosystem. With its accession, it Zoo di Napoli wants to contribute to the knowledge of the species that are found in Italy, but also of the European ones in general and, for this reason, has organized special guided tours.

10.30 and 14.30 hours
The scientific staff will guide the public in the various areas of the Zoo to make known to all those present native species of reptiles and European mammals present.
12.00 and 15.00 hours
In reptile house some species of European reptiles will be hosted and visitors will be able to know them with the guidance of the Zoo's scientific operators.
