The Naples Zoo reopens to the public
The Naples Zoo reopens to visitors with a very sweet news: the birth of two tender puppies. One is called Zoe and it's a wonderful Falabella pony cub, the second born is kalidou a special specimen of zebra. The two puppies are thus added to the 600 specimens divided into 130 species that populate the structure.
Obviously in these months of closure the Zoo staff has provided for the animal care, treatments that continue like those they are offering to turtles for the delicate awakening from hibernation.
There will then be other puppies to get to know like the 11 month old newcomer, Guanaco, belonging to the family of camelids from the Prague Zoo. Currently he is staying in the South American fauna exhibit with tapir, marà, capybara, rhea and alpaca. And then again the Cape Genets, viverrids visible in the afternoon and coming from a Belgian center.
I also continue science projects of the Zoo like the European programs EEP, for the reproduction and conservation of endangered species or even the project with theUniversity of Warsaw to monitor the fauna of the Bugoma Forest.
