The Italian lottery is now an unmissable annual tradition, an event that many Italians don't want to miss: the reasons? Differently from Superenalotto and Lotto victory is certain on the date of the draw and the ticket is, after all, very cheap.

Historically the luckiest is Lombardy, with 959.400 winning tickets, closely followed by the Campania with 583.840 winning tickets.

Ticket sales are down

This year an extra grain for the Government, after the horribilis year of 2020 in which sales, due to the pandemic, suffered a gigantic collapse, it was thought that in 2023 the numbers would return as high as before: it didn't happen.

400.000 fewer sales compared to the initial estimates, which translates into a higher probability of winning for those who have purchased a coupon.

Winning ticket codes: how to check your winnings

To check the winnings is enough look for the code of your coupon, it is divided into Series and Number. The first indicates the Series of the coupon, i.e. the block of tickets to which it belongs: it is usually indicated with a letter. The second, a sequence of 6 numbers, indicates the single ticket of that specific series.

To verify victory in the final draws, it is therefore sufficient to look for your coupon among the winning ones, or verify the winnings via the Lotteria Italia website.
