We have been used, for a long time now, to associate Sunday In to the "Aunt" Mara Venier, but in the last few hours there has been an unexpected announcement by the presenter (and which could also blow up the hosted, during the first episode, by Barbara D'Urso).
According to what revealed by Liberoquotidiano.it, Venier, after having been at its helm for fifteen editions (obviously this announcement should be taken with a grain of salt, as there have been no official communications from the Rai), would be ready to quit Sunday In.
As explained by "Aunt Mara" in a press release, already in 2022 "she was very tired and wanted to retire", but "she had always given in for Domenica In, which is her weak point". But now the time has come to move on and, during the presentation of the schedules, which took place on 7 July 2023, Mara Venier has already announced that “this will be his last year.”
Domenica In, who will arrive instead of Mara Venier?
If 2023, and the first half of 2024, will be the last year of Mara Venier on Domenica In, soon there will be a question that is not easy to answer that the flagship network will have to answer: who will replace it?
For the moment the Rai he preferred not to say too much and, even from Venier herself, the name of the possible replacement was not leaked. And not surprisingly, given that whoever it is, it will have to collect a very heavy legacy and carry it forward.
However, there is already a hypothesis in the air: given the great bond between the two presenters, it is not excluded that Mara Venier can designate as his "possible" heir Alessia Marcozzi. La Venier, just during the difficult period of the divorce from Paolo Calabresi Marconi, was very close to Marcuzzi and made her feel her support.
