The very famous Agent Smith this time will not be played by Hugo Weaving because the actor was already engaged in other productions and could not take part in this one. This time he was played by J who tried his best to start a new Agent Smith.

The Illustrious Absence: Laurence Fishburne for Morpheus
In this new Matrix Laurence Fishburne is also missing as Morpheus, which this time is played by Yahya Abdul Mateen II. Morpheus is one of the captains of the city of Zion and devotes his life to finding the Chosen One, until he finds Neo, in the first film.
The choice not to call the same actor seems to be due precisely to Warner Bros who was looking for a younger actor.
