At the MAV, the Virtual Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum, special Friday evening openings: an intense journey into the history of this incredible place!

Starting from Friday 2 October 2020 and for next Friday of the month the MAV, the Virtual Archaeological Museum of Ercolano proposes some fascinating evening openings. 

A fascinating journey that will take you back in time thanks to the presence of a virtual path through the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum before the eruption of 79 AD which destroyed them.

The evening visits will start from 18:00 until 23:00 with last admission at 22:00, these special evening openings will be accompanied by the ordinary openings on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00 with last admission at 18:00. To partecipate you need to make a reservation.

The MAV, the Virtual Archaeological Museum of Ercolano turns out to be one of the museums most avant-garde throughout Italy thanks to the presence of an extraordinary virtual path.

Located a few hundred meters from the excavations of Herculaneum, the MAV offers the visitor an unprecedented experience in an extraordinary journey through time with over seventy multimedia installations that will catapult you into the main archaeological areas of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Baia, Stabia and Capri.
