Reinterpretation of the famous play by Scarpetta "Misery and nobility" at the Galleria Toledo in Naples
Again on stage at Toled galleryor of Naples, the revisitation of the famous comedy of Eduardo Scarpetta Misery and Nobility, revisited by the artistic director Laura Angiulli to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Eduardo De Filippo who set it up.
The plot of the show is now known to the public, thanks to the different theatrical versions, but above all to the cinematographic realization of Totò and Sophia Loren of the 1954. Amorous weaves, misunderstandings, comic situations and characters-masks, like that of Felice Sciosciammocca, are elements assumed and well known by everyone.
Here because Laura Angiulli he decided to "call into question" above all the human and social figures of the drama, and the feelings and moods that tell of the two worlds represented on stage, only apparently distant, but united by many aspects, such as the
hunger first of all; cunning led by the misery of those who have to survive; softness of the aristocracy close to dissolution, and in counterpoint the new rich who awkwardly tries to remedy the rise of at least one step, in the social context. On all the love that looks only at itself, in a sampling of young people without class prejudices, all in all well matched even if different by class, because everything that distances them is only in money, indeed in the promise of money, of that ease, of that profusion of goods to be squandered that could perhaps come from a coveted "inheritance"
The show is staged at the Galleria Toledo theater until 22 December 2013 and some days of the Christmas holidays.
