The director and actor Marco D'Amore (born and best known for his role as Ciro Di Marzio in the television series Gomorra – La serie) has focused on his Napoli as a filming location for his latest film, “Caracas“, taken from novel "Naples Railway" by Ermanno Rea. The phenomenal cast includes personalities such as the protagonist Toni Servillo, D'Amore himself, Lina Camélia Lumbroso.
The plot of the movie
The film "Caracas” by Marco D'Amore with Toni Servillo based on the novel “Naples Railway” by Ermanno Rea, tells the story of Jordan Source, a writer Neapolitan who returns to a Naples that fascinates him but at the same time terrifies him, wrapped in a dark atmosphere. There is with him Caracas, a man who militates in the far right and which stands for convert to Islam, in search of the truth about existence.
Jordan and Caracas they live a impossible love with Yasmina, as they try to navigate a city that is swallowing people and everyone is trying to save. The plot takes place in a context where everyone hopes not to get lost, trying to open your eyes after a nightmare and see a new beginning full of light after the dark of the night. The film will be presented at the EFM of the Berlin Film Festival, where Vision Distribution will handle foreign sales.
