Saturday 11 March at 12:00, in piazza Vittoria, the Mayor Gaetano Manfredi together to the Councilor for the Environment Vincenzo Santagada et al President of the First Municipality Giovanna Mazzone inaugurated the redevelopment of Piazza Vittoria and Piazza della Repubblica. These green areas have been entrusted to the 100% Naples Projects & Crowdfunding Association, which will also carry out the ordinary maintenance of the square.
Collaboration between public and private
In this way, the collaboration between public e private led to the redevelopment of two important places in the city, which had been forgotten and abandoned for years.
The redevelopment of the squares has been completed in recent days with the completion of the irrigation systems, the redevelopment of turf and the planting of new tree species consistent with the existing system.
Ettore Morra, president of the 100% Naples Projects & Crowdfunding Association, underlined the importance of recovering the city's green areas. The association is working to recover seven squares because it believes that greenery is a strategic infrastructure.
Councilor for Greens, Vincenzo Santagada, emphasized the importance of valorising "the best forces of society and citizenship to recover not only the green areas but to give the right decorum to the city".
Deadline for the completion of the works
La dead line for the conclusion of the work is fixed for the arrival in the city of the Giro d'Italia. The redevelopment of these sites adds to those being completed at the Rotonda Diaz, the Mergellina Gardens, Piazza Sannazzaro, Piazza Carlo III and Piazza Nazionale.
