Caserta celebrates Christmas 2013 with the IV Leuciana Festival Christmas Event - Holy Voices, an event entirely focused on gospel religious songs
Also this year the municipality of Caserta has organized a series of very interesting events to celebrate Christmas, included in the IV Leuciana Festival Christmas Event - Holy Voices. This is a series of five concerts, in which other municipalities of the Terra di Lavoro will also be involved (Casagiove, Castelmorrone, Maddaloni, San Marco Evangelista, San Nicola la Strada, Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Valle di Maddaloni) where the protagonist It will be there gospel music and spiritual.
The appointments will be the 6, 13, 20 and 27 December 2013 and 2 January 2014 and will take place inside the most sacred places of the city of Caserta, such as the Cathedral and the Church of San Ferdinando Re in San Leucio, precisely to emphasize the sacred and holy spirit of the holiday, in a spiritual atmosphere that imbues both music and the location that will host it.
In fact, as explained by the councilor for Major Events, Tourism and Territorial Marketing, Pasquale Napoletano, it was decided to "enhance the Christmas tradition of religious songs, making music the metaphor of a story, oriented towards the discovery of the noblest customs of Campania ". And to enhance this tradition there will be the most important international gospel groups, who will alternate on the stages with the bell formations dedicated to religious and Christmas songs.
The concerts will not take place, however, only in Caserta as the provinces will also be involved and will host some of the evenings and other events. In fact, the Leuciana Christmas Festival is not limited to these 5 concerts, but provides other performances in different Shrines and Churches in the days 9, 16, 23 and 30 December 2013.
To enrich this Christmas event will think a big one art installation conceived by an important master of modern art who will be positioned in one of the most important places in the city, yet to be defined. This work will also serve as a tourist attraction and will remain the heritage of the municipality of Caserta.
Finally, the Leuciana Festival also includes the setting up of some exhibitions in the historic center of the city. The official presentation of the event will take place on 2 December at 16.00 pm in the Sala Giunta of the Palazzo di Città.
