The Night of the Bonfires will also take place this year in Nusco, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy! Many events and news scheduled!
Among the famous popular traditions belonging to the territory of Campania, check the historic appointment with the celebration of Sant'Antonio Abate.
On the occasion of the party, the 17 and 18 January 2015, at historical center of the Municipality of Nusco, will leave Night of the Bonfires.
The event is part of the project "Events at the Park", aimed at the exaltation and diffusion of the enormous historical, cultural and natural wealth of the Irpinia lands.
Specifically, the "Night" of Nusco, in honor of the patron saint of animals and rural life, presents itself with a rich program of events including music, shows, entertainment, food and wine and tastings, guided tours, crafts, workshops and lots of local folklore.
A secular festival, this, born as a rite against the plague that in the 600s caused a real massacre, reaping more than 1000 deaths in the fascinating village in question. Over time the bonfire, the fire, has therefore become a symbol of devotion to St. Anthony and a real re-enactment of peasant life and authenticity.

15:00. Seminar-workshop "La Notte dei Falò: the fire between the sacred and the profane", at Palazzo di Città (for reservations, follow the directions on the website www.eventinelparco.it)
17:00. Official opening of the party and opening of wine and food products stand

Sunday January 18
9:00. Historic-naturalistic walk, organized by Irpinia Trekking, from Piazza Sant'Amato to the Abbey of the Goleto. Appointment in Piazza Sant'Amato (info and reservations 380 / 3553149 and 324 / 6982593)
10:00. Guided tour in the historic center (for reservations, follow the directions on the website www.eventinelparco.it).
11.00 hours. Second workshop on the theme "Typicality and tradition in Irpinia", at the refectory of the Palazzo Vescovile (for reservations, follow the directions on the website www.eventinelparco.it).
12.30 hours. Opening of the stands with exhibitions of artisanal and food and wine products
13:00. Animation in the historic center with itinerant music groups.
