The Café Chantant returns to the evocative setting of the Sannazaro theater, amid sciantose and soubrette, tastings and traditional Neapolitan music
Back to the Sannazaro theater the most engaging and colorful show of the Neapolitan tradition, the Cafè Chantant. In an ever more cheerful and fun “Christmas” edition that will be hosted, as always, in the “wedding favor in via Chiaia”, which for the occasion will be transformed into an even more refined location.
New Café Chantant it is in fact a particular show, which will immerse tourists and Neapolitans in a traditional and modern, elegant and irreverent atmosphere, among sciantos and soubrette, comedians and singers, who will re-propose the musical masterpieces of the Neapolitan repertoire, such as tarantella, prose, but also international music.
To lead the dances and the entire show will be the extraordinary Lara Sansone, nephew of the famous actress Luisa Conte who brought back to glory the Sannazaro theater, transforming it into the “home” of Café Chantant. For the occasion, the theater stalls will be transformed into a belle époque style room, complete with delightful tables where it will be possible to taste champagne and typical products from Campania.
The performance of New Café Chantant it will be accompanied by songs, colors, sciantos, dancers, comedians, poetry, music, seduction and live orchestra, in a performance made contemporary and more "international" compared to the ancient genre of the early 900s, and which also squeezes a little the eye on current events.
The show will be on stage until 6 January 2014, with the possibility of also participating in the Great New Year's Eve dinner between toast and celebrations with a special replica on New Year's Eve.
