The program of the theater season 2014 / 2015 of the New Theater Sancarluccio, between plays and prose shows in the name of the Neapolitan tradition
Il New Teatro Sancarluccio, located in via San Pasquale in Chiaia, escaped the risk of closing last year, returns to offer a rich theater season characterized by varied shows and all of quality, able to merge the tradition of , Neapolitan of prose with that of comedy. Thus meeting the tastes of the public and promoting, at the same time, art and theatrical culture in Naples.
Among the actors and directors of the theater plays scheduled Nunzia Schiano and Niko Mucci, Rosalia Porcaro, Rosaria De Cicco, Peppe Miale, Nando Paone, Stefano Sarcinelli, I Virtuosi di San Martino and many other protagonists of the contemporary Neapolitan theater scene.
Alongside the “classic” theatrical season there will be one "off" theater review, characterized by shows that come out of commercial logic, in search of an audience and that attention that is increasingly difficult to have without billboard names. These representations will be evaluated by a jury of critics who will include the best in the next season of the Sancarluccio.
In May, 2015 will be on stage Girls, female theater review with the artistic direction of Gianmarco Cesario, and which will have as protagonists the heroines of literature, the great artists, the icons of music and cinema, but also ordinary women, and the second edition of The whole world is theater, the theater review of and around Shakespeare, after the success of the first edition.
