It was not an overdose that killed Paolo Calissano: according to what was revealed by the result of the autopsy, there would be an extreme gesture behind the actor's death.
It's been a year since Paolo Calissano, actor much loved by fans of Gratta e Vinci, Puppy and other Italian comedies, he is died. At first it was thought of adrug overdose, but the autopsy results revealed a unexpected backstory.
According to the results of the examination, Calissano he would not have died from an overdose, but from a extreme gesture. His brother also confirms it, Roberto Calissano, in an interview given today to The Corriere della Sera:
“The prosecutor ordered a very thorough toxicological examination. The conclusion was that my brother did not die of drugs, but of an intoxication with antidepressant drugs. What if he committed suicide? I think that's how it went."

Paolo Calissano, according to what was reconstructed by his brother, had accepted the idea of death and, on the night of December 29-30, 2021, he had ingested a large amount of medication to end it.
His body was found inside his apartment and, at first, his partner said it was in an advanced state of decomposition, but it was not.
For brother of Calissano, even if the result of the autopsy managed to wipe out a year of doubts, rumors and hypotheses, the pain still remains:
“That evening Paolo accepted the risk of dying, most likely. What if he committed suicide? I never thought I'd say it, but I think that's how it went. It's very painful for me to admit that."
