From the 20 22 2017 September the initiative will take place "From me to you"The Policlinico of Federico II of Naples which provides for the outdoor donation of hematopoietic stem cells (CSE) for the University Hospital.
It is three days in which anyone among the 18 is the 35 years will be able to go to the gazebos and carry out a buccal mucosa collection through a cotton swab.
Naturally, every donation will be completely voluntary and every donor, until the time of withdrawal, can always decide to refuse to carry out the bone marrow collection, if you have changed your mind.
These days, which will take place in green spaces outside the Polyclinic, are of fundamental importance to raise awareness on the donation of hematopoietic stem cells because they are essential for the treatment of the most aggressive blood diseases. In some cases it is theonly way to fight the disease definitively because the diseased cells are replaced with the healthy ones of the donor.
The Federico II Polyclinic received directly from the Ministry of Health, thanks to a public tender of the Campania Region, the task of managing the Regional Register Bone Marrow Donors to which we can register in these days.
