The potato festival arrives in Cimitile, in the province of Naples, starting from 16 May 2014.
comes the Potato Fest, an enogastronomic event organized by Pro loco Cimitile dedicated mainly to dishes based on potatoes. Visitors will be able to taste and buy the typical agro-food products of Campania put on display by the many stands present at the main square of Cimitile, “Piazza Conte Filo della Torre”.
Beyond the stand, expert chefs will prepare some traditional dishes based, of course, potatoes. Among the many courses you will find potato gateau (potato gattò), potatoes and perch, chef's potato, baked potatoes and sausages, potato salad, potato staples, glazed potatoes with chocolate and many other dishes. The event will be accompanied by live music to entertain visitors.
Special evenings dedicated especially to those who love traditional recipes based on potatoes.
