The Real Sito di Carditello foundation will offer a series of free extraordinary openings every weekend until June 2017.

La Palace of Carditello, whose full name is Reale Tenuta di Carditello, is part of a group of 22 sites belonging to the family of the Bourbons of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, which were used as places of leisure or hunting but which also presented interesting entrepreneurial achievements such as the breeding of the Fagianeria di Caiazzo, the production of silk in San Leucio, fishing at Fusaro, the farms of the Tenuta di Persano and of the Demanio of Calvi and finally the porcelain factory.

After years of neglect, the Bourbon site has been taken care of by the Real Sito di Carditello foundation which in collaboration with Agenda 21, from 8 January 2017 will organize Free guided tours every Saturday and Sunday until 25 June 2017 and also various activities to bring the public closer to this Palace strongly desired by Ferdinando IV and built by a student of Vanvitelli. The guided tours were interrupted due to work necessary for the preservation of the good that will continue this year in the form of interventions restoration.

The route of the guided tours will include the first floor environments of the central neoclassical building and the outdoor spaces with particular attention to the racecourse with the small central plan temple, designed by architect Francesco Collencini, a pupil of Luigi Vanvitelli.

To take part in the guided tours, the booking. Admission is allowed in groups of maximum 25 people with departures every 30 minutes.
