Royal Palace of Caserta and new stadium: here is the relaunch plan
The Masterplan for the redevelopment of the city from the majestic Royal Palace of Caserta has been approved!
It has been approved by Municipal Council the interesting project proposed by the Deputy Mayor with responsibility for public works, Francis DeMichael, which concerns the "Redevelopment of the city functional to the Vanvitellian complex of the Reggia and the cinematic system ".
It is a new project which will be financed by the Action and Cohesion Program - Complementary Operational Program 2014/2020, with which the City of Caserta intends to give a new face to the city making it more functional and therefore taking advantage of all those abandoned and disused areas.
The Masterplain
The main purpose of this new and interesting project is to enhance the entire area surrounding the Royal Palace of Caserta. The starting idea is to strengthen and intensify the transport system and services with poles of excellence such as the Belvedere di San Leucio as a pole of culture, the area of the former Saint Gobain as a Polo for Services, the area of Policlinico as a Health Center, the former convent of Sant'Agostino such as the Polo of artistic Modernity and the Palace of Caserta as a pole for tourism.
Also among the most important projects are the redevelopment of the brownfield RFI ex freight yard and Piazza Garibaldi with the new railway station and the construction of the bus terminal.
