Stay with me is a series set in Naples starring Francesco Arca. It is a series of only 8 episodes broadcast on Rai 1 each Sunday starting from 19 February, to then continue on February 26, March 5, March 12.
The first episode, we get to know Alessandro and Paola
The series opens on the panorama of the city of Napoli and a young couple in love made up of Francesco Arca and his partner Paola (Laura Adriani) pregnant with his child. Ark, who interprets Alessandro Scudieri, is busy painting the future child's room in blue, so the child will be a boy.
The shooting
The scene shifts to a restaurant of Naples, where the two protagonists enjoy a quiet lunch together. Suddenly, a deafening noise pierces the silence: they can be heard gun shots come from the main door of the premises. In an instant, the situation degenerates into one violent shooting. People scream and seek shelter under the tables.
At that moment, Francesco Arca, a plainclothes policeman who happened to be in the restaurant stand up and try to stop the criminals. But it's too late: a bullet it hits Paola, who falls to the ground in a pool of blood.
The scene is dramatic: pain and fear can be seen in the faces of the two protagonists, who find themselves helpless in the face of tragedy. After a few moments, it arrives the ambulance and Paola is rushed to the hospital.
The situation is very serious: the bullet injured Paola's uterus, causing the loss of the child that the couple had been waiting for. Also, doctors cannot guarantee that the woman can have children in the futuredue to the severity of the injuries sustained.
The end of the relationship between Paola and Alessandro
The life of the two protagonists changes forever. Devastated by pain and from guilt, try to rebuild their lives, but the wound remains open and the memory of that terrible day haunts them every day.
Paola, the protagonist of this story, feels completely overwhelmed by the pain of losing her baby and feels the need to step away from his partner Alessandro (Ark) to be able to mourn in solitude. Despite the attentions and closeness of her partner, she feels alone and unable to share her pain with him.
His suffering gets bigger and bigger and finally he decides to leave Alexander, telling him that he needs to take one break to reflect on his emotions and thoughts. This decision, although painful, seems to be the only way forward for the protagonist, who feels she has to come to terms with her pain and her loss on her own.
Alessandro, while loving Paola deeply, respects her decision and lets her go, knowing that this is what she needs in this difficult moment. Leave theirs property, hoping that time will heal the wounds of both and that, one day, they will be able to return to share their love and their life together.
PaolaFor her part, she finds herself dealing with her pain alone, trying to figure out what it means to her and how to move forward. It's not easy, but she knows that she must find the strength to do it, for her sake and for Alessandro's sake. Hers His decision to move away from him does not mean that their love is over, but only that he needs this time to be able mourn her and find herself.
The meeting with little Diego, Mario di Leva
Alessandro, Arca, is a brave and loyal policeman, always ready to protect the people he loves. On one of his missions, he meets the little one for the first time Diego, a very young boy, who was temporarily entrusted to a friend of the fatherGennaro. Unfortunately, Diego's father is found dead shortly after and the child finds himself completely alone and with no one to turn to.
Ark immediately hears a loud bond with this vulnerable child and try in every way to help him. Decide to take care of him, to keep him company and protect him, despite not yet having experience as a father. In fact, she will decide to take him home with him. Here you will also meet Paola and she too will feel impressed by the boy and his story.
