Cruelty and revenge on stage at the Galleria Toledo in Naples in "Richard III - Invitation to court"

At the theatre Toledo Gallery of Naples, until March 23 2014, the interesting reinterpretation of the tragedy will return to the scene Richard III by Shakespeare, directed by Laura Angiulli, director of the innovation building.

Il Richard III Shakespearean is the last "chapter" of four plays on English history, preceded by Henry VI parts 1, 2 and 3, and focuses on the historical events concluded in the 1485 after the famous War of the Two Roses, which broke out between the Lancaster and York families and that ended with the seizure of power by the Tudors.

The work ends with the defeat of Richard III of York in the battle of Bosworth's camp, and for the duration of the drama he is described as a petty and cruel character, the most negative of the Bard's production, ready to sacrifice everything for his thirst for power.

Laura Angiulli, in the sui Richard III - Invitation to court, accentuates the negative sides of Richard III, motivating them with his own physical deformityPerhaps "Mirror of a deeper inner distortion", and is represented as a fool, a jester of himself, all aimed at violence and crime. And it is he himself who declares he wants to take revenge, with his bloody actions, "Of that nature that made it devoid of any beautiful proportion", manifesting from the beginning his terrible intentions: he will kill his brother Clarence; he will hopefully await the death of King Edoardo, another brother of him, and then marry Anna, wife and daughter-in-law of antagonists murdered by him ...
