New festival to be held in August. Typical tastes to be enjoyed on warm summer evenings, from 12 to 18 on August 2013
The country of Joy Samnite (Caserta) awaits you for a special event: the 16th edition of the Festival of Ancient Flavors. The appointment will take place from 12 up to 18 August 2013 at the famous Piazza Giovanni Paolo II and the stands will be set up starting from 20.30.
Not just an event to taste the local cuisine, but also a show with Live music. There will be more than 1000 seats that, therefore, will welcome all visitors.
What can you taste during the Sagra degli Antichi Sapori? Here are some characteristic dishes:
- Homemade pasta (scialatielli, pappardelle, tagliatelle, cicatielli and fusilli) with porcini mushrooms;
- gnocchi with castrato sauce;
- noodles with beans and pork rinds;
- fried;
- Tripe;
- roasted porcini mushroom;
- pork with peppers;
- bruschetta with tomatoes and porcini mushrooms;
- porchetta with porcini mushrooms;
- castrato stew;
- roast pork;
- veal and sausage;
- skewers;
- stuffed peppers and aubergines;
- fried pizza with porcini mushrooms, tomatoes and porchetta;
- French fries;
- fruit, sweets, beer, white and red wine (Aglianico, Piedorosso, and Falanghina).
The event is organized by the PRO LOCO "Gioiese".
