Thursday 23 March 2017 there will be a national taxi strike that will also involve the city of Naples.

Bad news for commuters using taxis since Thursday 23 March 2017 one was proclaimed national strike of the taxites which, therefore, will also include the city of Napoli.

Taxi drivers will strike for 14 hours, from 8.00 to 22.00, to protest the bill on the competition in the sector, currently under discussion in the Senate. Specifically, the complaints are against the Uber service, more convenient for citizens.

The strike was proclaimed by the Unica Cgil, Fit Cisl Taxi, Ugl Trasporti Taxi, Ugl Taxi, Federtaxi Cisal, Usb Taxi, Uti and Unimpresa unions and, in the relative document, we read that the Government has not been able to give satisfactory answers to requests of taxi drivers, "hiding behind the sovereignty of Parliament".
Meanwhile, Uber also requested a closed-door meeting for 20 in March, with taxi drivers, to discuss, meeting however clearly rejected by the category.

It will be, therefore, a hard day for commuters and citizens in general, even if they will be respected the bands of guarantees and social services, I is the transport of the elderly, the handicapped and the sick.

The 22 March will also be there strike of Cumana, Circumflegrea and Circumvesuviana.
