Giorgia Soleri, influencer and girlfriend of Damiano of the Maneskin, is one of the competitors of the new edition of “Pechino Express” aired on Sky Uno from 9 March. The model is paired with her friend Federica Fabrizi, known as Federippi.
The woman has repeatedly spoken and sensitized the public about le chronic and disabling diseases, but in spite of them decided to participate to the program, explaining in an interview with the “Corriere della Sera” as it has managed its issues while traveling in Indiawhere the program took place. Soleri suffers from vulvodynia and underwent surgery for endometriosis in 2021.
The critique of Selvaggia Lucarelli
Not everyone seems to have appreciated Soleri's statements. Wild Lucarelli, a well-known Italian journalist and commentator, has published a sarcastic comment on the issue, questioning the veracity of the model's statements. In particular, Lucarelli highlighted how Soleri has declared in the past that she has difficulties to manage her pathologies and now you seem to have managed to do it only to take part to the TV show.
So the pain that confined her to bed for weeks and did not allow anything to be planned (her words), is now no longer disabling but has become manageable, based on the occasions she cannot give up (Beijing Express)”, and added sarcastically : “We're happy for her, come on, good news!
Soleri's answer
Despite the harsh criticisms, Soleri he didn't want to answer directly to Lucarelli's claims. However, he shared an Instagram story which appears to be one indirect answer to the controversy. In the story, the model pointed out how many people with chronic diseases they are not pretending to be sick, but rather trying to hide your energy levels, happiness and well-being.
