The summer period is usually characterized by a reduction in television programming, but Channel 5 is breaking this tradition by providing an offering of new TV series to brighten the afternoons of its devoted viewers. The schedule of Channel 5 for summer 2023 expects a variety of genres, from medical dramas to stories with a historical twist, as well as intriguing mystery and detective storylines. In short, there is something for all tastes and surprises are not lacking.
The Girl and the Officer and more upcoming TV series
Audiences are eagerly awaiting the return of “New Amsterdam“, a popular TV series that will be broadcast again on Channel 5. The plot focuses on the events of the Dr. Goodwin, his colleagues and the many patients of one of the oldest public hospitals in the United States.
Among the new proposals there is also “The girl and the officer“, a historical series with the well-known actor Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, famous for his role in “Brave and Beautiful“. Set during the First World War, this series tells the complicated love story between Kurt Seyit, the eldest son of a wealthy Crimean family, and Sura Verjeenskaya, the daughter of a noble Russian family whom the man meets during a party.
