On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, a spokesperson for the principle Harry and Meghan Markle has confirmed a Fox New Digital that, the couple, have been asked to leave Frogmore Cottage by King Charles III.
This led to a further deterioration of ties with the British royal family and precisely during the period of preparations for the coronation of the new English ruler.

“The king is trying to downsize. He doesn't want the royal family to be seen as wasteful or indulgent in a time of cost-of-living crisis. This is around the same time that negotiations for Megxit began in 2020. I believe their lease has expired and the King has simply decided not to renovate it as it was a beautifully renovated house that stood empty for 99% of the year. This is a waste."
With no longer a secure base in the UK, it becomes all the more unlikely that the Sussexes will attend the coronation of King Charles III. In 2022, the lawyers of the Prince Harry they had stated that he was unwilling to bring his family to England because it "wasn't safe."
