A romantic comedy by Rosario Sparno, taken from the text of the Spanish author Guillem Clua, which tells about love in the days of emoticons and apps.
From the 3 to 5 2017 November will go on stage, on the stage of the New Health Theater, Smiley - A love story, a fun comedy directed by Rosario Sparno and from the homonymous text written by the young Spanish playwright Guillem Clua, already translated and represented in Spain, Chile, Greece, Germany and Cyprus and censored at the XXI Theater Festival of the Catholic University of Concepcion in Chile.
The show, at its first debut in Italy, is a romantic comedy that tells love lived in the days of emoticons, like it "Smiley" that inspired the title of the text, and the, by now very widespread, app to make new meetings. The protagonists of the story are Alex and Bruno, played by Carlo Caracciolo e Riccardo Ciccarelli, and surrounded by a "Greek choir" formed by the young actors of the company of the Nuovo Teatro Sanità: Vincenzo Antonucci, Ciro Burzo, Lola Bello, Mariano Coletti, Giampiero De Concilio, Antonio Della Croce, Simone Fiorillo, Gaetano Migliaccio, Nicola Orefice.
The app in question, at the center of the story, is Grindr, The first application dedicated to gay and bisexual encounters, thanks to which the two protagonists know each other and begin to chat "for free and without too many boring preambles".
The show intends to recount the new physiognomy assumed by our society and the new modes of relationship between individuals who live and feel differently the love that, now communicated only with emoticons and apps, it is difficult to be expressed, hidden behind the silence of two points, a hyphen and a closed parenthesis.
The director Rosario Sparno he told about his smiley: «After meeting the explosive vitality of the actors and all the company that lives in the New Theater Health, I thought to give birth here smiley, to tell with them, with the young people who make theater in our city, this love story born in Spain, but which could also have been born here, at Sanità. Alex and Bruno, played by Caracciolo and Ciccarelli, will be joined by the gogoboys of ntS ', who make up the chorus of this Italian version of Guillem Clua's text and will accompany us along the story of this romantic encounter ».
