The Tableaux Vivants return to the Diocesan Museum of Naples with new incredible performances

Until December 2015, the evocative representations of the come back  Tableaux Vivants, 'the living paintings', taken from the works of the painter Caravaggio. The location will again be the magnificent  Monumental Complex of Donnaregina, seat of the Diocesan Museum in Naples.

Eight great ones actors will reproduce well 21 frameworks famous of the controversial Lombard artist, wearing draped clothes and adorned with common objects, to create a greater realistic scenic effect. Inspired by the pictorial technique of Merisi (real name of the painter), a unique ray of natural light it will softly illuminate the scene, focusing attention on the actors, who will remain motionless for the duration of the performance.

The pathos of the atmosphere will be emphasized by the classical background music, which will leave the incredulous spectators in a state between dream and reality.
We remind you that the admission ticket also includes the visit to the splendid, historical and rich Diocesan Museum, which preserves the masterpieces of many well-known artists including Giordano, Falcone, Stanzione and Vaccaro.
