Tato Russo returns to the theater re-proposing his masterpiece, the Menecmi, a comedy full of misunderstandings that will unleash the comedy of the public

The great actor and theater director Tato Russo back to entertain the audience with one of his most successful comedies, Menecmi, inspired by the original text that belonged to Plautus. The opera will be staged at the Teatro Delle Palme from 11 to 15 March 2015.

A pièce that the artist has been carrying around in the theaters of Italy for over twenty-five years but which, despite the fatigue due to age makes itself felt, continues to re-propose successfully.

Tato Russo starts from the plautina comedy (Menecmo) to rewrite the story in an original way, leaving intact some peculiar traits. So we will find all of it again plebeismo of the narrative and its entirely popular character, which Russo takes up while expanding them.

The story is set in an ancient Neapolis and the role of the twins is played by a single actor, Tato Russo himself, who masterfully juggles the personalities of the protagonists brothers, one vulgar and the other cultured and intellectual. The two will find themselves living a strange affair, an adventure full of misunderstandings, errors and misunderstandings that will trigger the laughter of the public, giving rise to a comedy together sophisticated and surreal.

Among servants, servants, masters, Femminelli and many other characters of the Neapolitan plebs, the public will be catapulted into a world where very different figures will alternate and where the pace will be pressing until the end. A further confirmation of the excellent skills of Tato Russo who, as always, moves on stage with charisma and magnetism.
