Concerts, events and exhibitions dedicated to the mandolin in the new The House of Mandolin in Naples.
"" The House of Mandolin "will be inaugurated on 17 March 2016, la Casa del Mandolino in Naples, in the area of Spaccanapoli.
The structure will be a place dedicated to the mandolin, to his exposition, to his listening and to the collection of the documentation on his history. Events and a real event will be organized concert programming, which will take place on weekends and will give space to different musical genres and sounds from all over the world.
Will also exposed other plectrum instruments ??, including specimens ancient and rare Neapolitan mandolins, Romans, electric mandolins, mandolas, banjo, oud, cetre-mandolin, as well as a unique collection of sheet music and clichés, like those of the publisher Bideri, which spread the copielle, that is, printed editions of Neapolitan songs between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Furthermore, the WANEMA Association, supporter of this interesting project, would like to set up a bibliographic and audiovisual fund of all sources on the mandolin, available for free on the internet and the publication of a book theme.
