The Museum

The National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN), founded by the Bourbons at the end of the 18th century, is the oldest museum in Europe.
It contains precious collections and archaeological finds set between the prehistoric and late-Roman ages, as well as numerous historical collections, including those of the Farnese family, dei Borgia and the collection ofAncient Egypt.

Opening time:

  • Open every day from 9:00 to 19:30 (last admission at 19.00)
  • Closed on Tuesdays
  • When Tuesday is a public holiday, the Museum postpones closing on Wednesdays
  • Festive closures: 25 December and 1 January

Price tickets:

  • Full single: 18 € | Two adults 32 €
  • Reduced: €2 (children aged 18-25 from the European Union)
  • Reduced Artecard and reduced Open companion: 9 €
  • Free: citizens under the 18 years of the European community and non-EU citizens
