The eighteenth century San Ferdinando Theater it was inaugurated with the work The carpenter by Domenico Cimarosa.

The 1886 was born "City of Naples Company", while in the 30 years of the last century it was transformed into "Cinema Teatro Principe"as long as the 43 bombings did not shave it almost completely to the ground.

Fu Eduardo de Filippo to buy it in '48 and to commit to its reconstruction.
To date, the theater is managed by the Stable Theater of Naples.

  • Address: Piazza Eduardo de Filippo, 20 - 80139
  • L2 metro line: Cavour station, proceed on via Foria, turn right on via Cesare Rosaroll and take the second left towards Piazza Eduardo de Filippo (about 13 minutes on foot) | Bus 182, 184, 201, 203, C47 or N4: Foria - Cesare Rossaroll stop, take the first left onto via Cesare Rossaroll and the second left continuing towards the square (about 5 minutes on foot).
