A glorious guided tour of the Gay Odin Chocolate Factory in Naples to discover all the secrets of the production of chocolates!

The 4 March 2016, exceptionally thanks to the Club of Territory of Naples, we can visit the famous Gay-Odin chocolate factory, in Vico Vetriera in Naples.

The history of the factory begins with Isidoro Odin, confectioner and Piedmontese chocolatier of Swiss origin who inaugurates, in the 1922, the first workshop in Via Chaia. The goodness of the products is such that soon the brand becomes synonymous with the fine chocolates and so the Odin heirs, open two other shops in the tourist areas of via Toledo and Vico Vetriera.

The great success is due to theexcellent quality of the raw materials used starting from the criollo variety chocolate, Theobroma cacao, also called noble cocoa, made from white seeds, very fragrant and not very bitter. From here the master chocolatiers proceed with one slow toasting, followed by the processing of grain grains that is finally handcrafted to make chocolates, ice creams, sweets, liqueurs and special products for celebrations such as Easter, Valentine's Day and Christmas.

It will be one greedy morning to live a sensory experience with the food of the Gods!
