Extraordinary opening and free guided tours to the Roman Baths of Via Terracina in Naples by the Neapolitan Archaeological Group.
Saturday January 13 14 2018 and Sunday the Neapolitan Archaeological Group proposes the free guided tour of the Roman Baths archaeological complex in via Terracina in Naples.
The site dates back to the first half of the second century AD, has a structure on several levels all powered by the Serino aqueduct. The particularity of the complex is found in the rich mosaic floors which unfortunately are not in good condition due to continuous exposure to atmospheric agents. The Roman baths of via Terracina are usually closed since they are located in the area owned by the University of Naples "Federico II".
They are programmed guided tours every hour on Sunday, while Saturday only one time will be available. To participate in the visit we refer to the participation form that we have linked in the mirror.
How to reach the site
The departure of the tour is from the entrance of the complex that is in via Terracina in front of the civic 429, at the corner with Via Marconi (the RAI road). There are three possibilities to reach the meeting point:
- 2 metro station line di Campi Flegrei or Cumana di Mostra station which are located approximately 1 km from the complex (leaving the stations, go up towards the stadium and take via Marconi, the RAI road to the left of the stadium until reaching Via Terracina: the complex is To the right.
- by car the complex is near the Tangenziale exit of Fuorigrotta with the possibility of parking in the area.
- ANM service: from Piazza Garibaldi take the 151 bus line and get off at the stop outside the Mostra d'Oltremare entrance (Viale Augusto stop at Piazzale Tecchio - Mostra). Line frequency 18-21 minutes.
