Under the rich Program of Christmas events at the Royal Palace of Portici, we can also make some beautiful ones observations of the Sun.weather permitting.
In fact, thanks to the members ofNeapolitan Amateur Astronomers Union (UAN), the 4 December 2021 there will be activities aimed at the public to make visitors discover the wonders of the Sun, how to observe it safely and how to use certain tools.
Participation in these activities is free and it is possible to park inside the complex.
The program of observations with amateurs
The morning from hour to hour 10.0 13.00 the various appointments will take place.
In square at the entrance to the Royal Palace of Portici, on the sea side, if the weather permits it will be possible to observe the Sun, always in total safety so as not to damage the eyes, with thehelioscope and explanations on how sundials work will follow.
One will do visit to the analemmatic sundial of the Royal Palace, designed by UAN, in the garden of the exedra.
Subsequently, in the Historical Library there will be the "Agricultural Sciences under the tree" event with the "The Sun is the great clock of the world: the seasons and agriculture".
You can visit the scientific stands and also give it to the Christmas market.
