Castel dell'Ovo will come alive with light trails, graffiti, drawings and colored faces thanks to the performance of Video Mapping by Franz Cerami scheduled for New Year's Eve
From the 29 31 December 2014, on the occasion of the celebrations for the last days of the year, a suggestive one will be held video installation on the facade of Castel dell'Ovo.
The event is organized by the Municipality of Naples in collaboration with Citelum and will include three shows of Video Mapping made by the artist Franz Cerami who will present his latest work to the Neapolitan public Cam Portraits which will stop, after Naples, in San Paolo in Brazil. Cerami then returns to our city, always inspired by the profile of Castel dell'Ovo, after five years, since in 2009 he transformed his facade by projecting lines and phrases in compositing.
Castel dell'Ovo will therefore be animated by three installations of Video Mapping with bright drawings, faces and colored graffiti inspired by different themes.
Cam Portraits
The protagonists of this video installation are digital identities and the portrait of men and women built through the webcam mirror. After identifying the subjects to be portrayed, Cerami captures the image through the webcam and then works with the use of a digital pen, using compositing and digital editing software.
Cam Portraits, inspired by the theories of Prof. Derrick De Kerckhove, is an installation of Global Art that investigates the essence of the contemporary characters of identity.
Ovo Mapping Faces
Animation of drawings, faces, lines in graffiti style is projected on the stands of the Castel dell'Ovo.
Digital Graffiti it is an extremely colorful mapping installation. It is premiered in Naples and in March it will be screened in Sao Paulo.
Remix the Classic
It is the first Mapping installation made at Castel dell'Ovo. Cerami made it in 2009. An animation by lines and phrases in compositing that underline the theme of the reinterpretation of the classic in Cultural Heritage.
The video installation in Castel dell'Ovo will therefore in the busy program of events developed by the Municipality of Naples for the last night of the year with a show that will start on January 1st starting at 24.
