The best places to observe shooting stars
By the sea
By the sea the setting is certainly more romantic and there are relatively dark places between Naples and the darkest province where we can observe the sky. Let's position ourselves where light pollution is low, so it's better to move away a little from the city.
We recommend going to the seaside in the shores of Varcaturo or on the beaches and the Lungomare di Pozzuoli because generally the brightest lights are behind us.
Virgilian Park
Even the Virgiliano Park can be a good choice we can lie down on a towel, munching on something to eat while watching the sky.
Belvedere of San Martino
The Belvedere of San Martino al Vomero is not to be missed, at the foot of Castel Sant'Elmo where we can position ourselves on a bench or lean against the low wall to observe the sky chasing a shooting star. Always ready to make a wish.
Waterfront of Naples
It's definitely not a very isolated location from light pollution, but the Naples waterfront definitely is romantico and it may happen to observe some shooting stars, perhaps while you are with your sweetheart!
