In the evocative setting of the Hell Valley, on Vesuvio, from 7 to 21 August 2022 at 19:00 special events will take place, in particular the night excursions dedicated to the passage of the Perseids organized by the Vesuvio Natura da Esplorare Cultural Association.
Authorized by the Vesuvius National Park and sponsored by City of Herculaneum the event has reached its ninth edition and will give you unforgettable days in the name of trekking and unspoiled nature.
It will also be an excellent opportunity for admire the stars, in the magic night of San Lorenzo, August 10, moreover, at dusk, you can cross the valley where Spartacus slaughtered the Roman army in 73 AD
The route of the excursion
During the visit to Vesuvius we will cross a changing path, where you can admire wonderful light games, until arriving in a strategic position where the observer can admire the stars. We will then continue towards a second panoramic point, admiring the Agro Nocerino Sarnese.
In total, the distance to travel for the round trip is approx 4 km, with a height difference of about 180 meters. Consequently you will have to wear sneakers with non-smooth or trekking sole. The event is not suitable for children under 9. Also scheduled Vesuvius wine tasting and appetizers.
