In Minori the diffused theater starts with itinerant shows in the alleys and the suggestive videomapping

From September 2 to 4, 2022, an exciting theater festival will take place through the alleys of Minori , on the Amalfi Coast, along the ancient Roman roads, with a view of the Path of the Gods from above, between the open spaces and the sea. In short, amidst many breathtaking settings of our region. It is titled "Femmene e Mare."

The shows will be accompanied by video mapping , featuring colors and scenic effects: we're talking about the projection of figures and moving images onto the facades of buildings and monuments for a result that will arouse great amazement.

Thanks to the organizers of Gusta Minori , of which this event is part, there will be 5 scenic scenes that will be organized in 4 points of the village and each scene will last 20 minutes.

The theatrical itinerary through the streets of the village of Minori

The four shows will follow one another in quick succession in a theatrical itinerary through the Vie dell'Arte . Streets that are dedicated to strolling or shopping during the day become the stage for a widespread theater in the evening.

A fifth show will be added to these four, which tells the story of two sisters, Aisha and Faizha.

The shows will take place every evening during the three evenings of September, continuously from 9:00 pm to midnight.

The themes of the theatrical review: homage to women

This event, which is part of the Gusta Minori festival, as mentioned, has the following themes , according to the organizers:

War is not a woman , indifference is not a woman, arrogance is not a woman but love, peace, hope are... Life is a Woman.

It will therefore be a true tribute to women and will focus on respect, diversity, integration, coexistence, and acceptance.

The places of theatrical performances

Here's where the shows will take place:

• the first scene with videomapping will be on Basilica of Santa Trofimena;
• the second scene will be a Calata Bridge, a strategic place, with actors, singers and musicians immersed in the people;
• the third scene will be on the Pier on the sea;
• the fourth scene will be in the suggestive piazzetta of Largo Solaio dei Pasta Makers;
• the fifth scene will be itinerant and it will not have a fixed place.

As anticipated, each scene will last approximately 20 minutes , after which the actors will move on, giving the audience time to change locations as well.

The story of Aisha and Faizha

The fifth show will be dedicated to the story of Aisha and Faizha , two of the many little girls who, fleeing the horrors of war, sank into the Mediterranean during a difficult journey. Indeed, one of them survives, and her goal is to tell the story of her little sister. Their story is intended as a warning to ensure that such tragedies never happen again.

Their names are fictitious, but they tell a true story that, unfortunately, we often hear on the news. Two little girls like many others who faced a tragic fate.

While crossing the Mediterranean, the ferryman on duty separates the two sisters during a storm, discovering that one of them hasn't paid for her ticket . The little girl, Aisha, is thrown into the sea before the eyes of her little sister, Faizha , who survived.

As Faizha grew older, she became a mother and named her daughter after her lost little sister. She also became an accomplished writer , and in one of her books, she revived Aisha's spirit as a lesson for all.

Vladimir Luxuria will also take part in the show , with the Acsi Ballet Company, directed by choreographer Dino Carano, who will give the opportunity to reflect on important issues such as peace , solidarity and gender equality.

The music of Neapolitan songs will follow, always with a tribute to women, with songs by great authors of the past such as Raffaele Viviani , Eduardo De Filippo and Salvatore Di Giacomo , and the second scene will see the participation of Rosaria De Cicco, Laura Lazzari and Massimo Masiello.

Connections by sea between Salerno and Minori

On the occasion of this theatrical festival, from September 2nd to 4th there will be connections between Salerno and Minori every evening via TravelMar with the following routes:

• departure from Salerno in Piazza della Concordia at 20.00;
• return from Minori at 23.40 pm.
