Shows and dance lessons with free admission in Villa Floridiana for the review "Barefoot in the park"
Back in the enchanting setting of Park of the Floridiana Villa, in the Vomero district, the festival of dance and music Barefoot in the park, now in its fourth edition.
From 6 to 8 June 2014 the Floridiana will become the stage of a Festival that aims to rejoin the public to dance and nature, regenerating the ever-existing but forgotten dialogue between human body and natural habitat. Dance performances of all kinds, lessons and meetings with the artists, will come alive the next weekend in the beautiful public park of Vomerese, involving and approaching the dance anyone.
The Festival Barefoot in the park is organized by the Ventottozerosei Association active in Naples and in the Marches, with the artistic direction of Simona Lisi and Maria Grazia Sarandrea, and is created in collaboration with the Special Superintendence for the PSAE and for the Museum Complex of the city of Naples and with the support of the Department of the Environment, the Department of Culture and the V Municipality of the Municipality of Naples.
For the Festival Barefoot in the park about thirty dancers, 10 choreographers, 8 musicians and dance masters of national and international fame.
Dance performances will be held strictly without the use of artificial lights, but adapting to the place and the natural light that hosts them. Both the shows and the dance lessons will be free admission for all spectators who want to witness or try their hand at this splendid and refined body art, which allows the human being to recover his relationship with the environment that surrounds him.
An important aspect especially in a city like Naples, where rediscovering respect for nature and attention to an eco-compatible style would enhance its extraordinary beauty even more.
