In early June (1, 2, 3 June 2023, after the postponement due to bad weather), the township of Arola a Vico Equense, will become the center of a great event dedicated to local dairy art. “In Vico for Cacio” is the initiative promoted by the City of Vico Equense and organized by the Pro Loco Monte Faito-Moiano which will bring together all 27 dairies in the area to enhance the local dairy product.
Program of the event
Il program of the event includes the blessing and the braid cut followed by the opening of the stand who will offer the best milk-based dishes.
La a manifestation has been conducted also provides shows, attractions, tastings, workshops, popular music and much more. On the second day of the event, there will be educational workshops for children and teenagers and a live processing marathon of the "fior di latte", the local dairy product.
They will also be there WORKSHOPS such as "Crete" by the "Oltre il Guscio" Association and the processing of Provolone del Monaco Dop. There will be stories told and a traveling show “A paranza ro Tramuntan”.
“At School for Cacio
The "A Scuola per Cacio" project will involve schools and students of the "De Gennaro" hotel institute of Vico Equense. THE workshops for children and teenagers have been structured for the training of students and knowledge of the raw material. The event also includes specific initiatives for children with disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders.

Event postponed due to bad weather
The organization communicated that due to adverse weather conditions, the event "A Vico per Cacio" was postponed. The new dates scheduled for this long-awaited event are: Thursday 1 June, Friday 2 June and Saturday 3 June.
