The theatrical show "Chimera. The story of Love and Psyche in the eyes of Dino Campana ", directed and performed by Livia Bertè, returns with two exceptional performances to the Bourbon Tunnel, the March 22 2015.
The love story between Love and Psyche it is one of the best known fairy tales of the allegorical work "The metamorphoses" of the Latin writer Apuleius. The plot traces the events of Cupid (Eros), the Lord of love and desire, and Psyche (the Soul) united by passion. Cupid wishes to give her immortality, but to obtain it Psyche will have to face four very difficult tests, including the descent to the Underworld to purify herself.
The director has readjusted the text inspired by the poetry of Dino Campana and his “Canti Orfici” which were masterfully interpreted by the great actor Carmelo Bene. The scene is set at night, since it is the moment of the day when every thought or gesture takes shape, taking on a truthful meaning.
To seal thisdreamy, sensual and dreamlike atmosphere will be the natural lights of the suggestive Bourbon Tunnel, the veils and the exciting music of the harp by Gianluca Rovinello and the violin by Anna Rita Di Pace.
